Liquid Courage Concepts Limited to close BlackSalt Tavern

Hong Kong, 6 December, 2019: BlackSalt Tavern, a concept venture between BlackSalt Founder-Chef Taran Chadha and partners The Tramline Liquor Co., Black Kite Brewery and Kowloon Bay Brewery, will be closing for business this month.

Chef Taran said: "Closing the BlackSalt Tavern restaurant has been a necessary move in the current financial climate with increasing operational costs. While I am sad to end this partnership, it will allow me more time to focus on our new BlackSalt Deli-Kitchen concept and also develop my newly launched restaurant Pondi."

Chef Taran and his wife Sheela first opened the original, award-winning BlackSalt in Sai Ying Pun neighbourhood in 2016. BlackSalt Tavern Shek Tong Tsui branch opened in September 2018 with Pondi soft opening in October of this year. A BlackSalt food deli and production kitchen is set to launch in early 2020.
